Hallo, thank so much for this opportunity. I have just a quick question: is there a right body position when swimming, let´s say free style? . I swim six days a week for one hour. And it would be great, to use that time to improve my poor, sad body position.

Hello. Thanks for reaching out.

Swimming is a great way to work on your posture. I'm not sure if you have read the book or taken the course, but here are a couple of areas to be aware of.

1. It's important not to arch the back when reaching forward with the arm. Chapter 5 in the book discusses the inner corset. Using your inner corset as you reach forward during a stroke is a great opportunity to engage the obliques to keep the rib cage in line with the torso, as well lengthening the spine and creating more space for the discs.

2. Maintain shoulder alignment when reaching out with the arm. Try not to 'hunch' the shoulders during strokes. If you watch the swimmer in this video, notice the shoulder position. He may have a bit of an arch in the lower back, but that is easily remedied with an inner corset.
